“The future is certain. It is just not known.”

Bailouts, energy crises, civil wars, global warming, the climate crisis, the Euro crisis: when you take a step back and look at the big picture of what is going on in the world it can sometimes seem pretty grim. “ Fatalism ” is becoming an epidemic, that to a greater or lesser extent it is slowly infiltrating the minds of the majority of us.

So what is the impact of this creeping fatalism? We become complacent. We complain but we see no point of action. We don’t see the possibility of change, and we certainly don’t expect ourselves to be the drivers of that change…that would be impossible!

So what CAN be done to reverse this impeding sense of doom and inefficacy? The answer lies in developing an essential leadership characteristic: the capacity to make people believe they can change their future and that it is possible to alter the reality of today’s society, thus the importance of breaking the cycle of fatalism.

Quoted: “And yet, and yet… Denying temporal succession, denying the self, denying the astronomical universe, are apparent desperations and secret consolations. Our destiny … is not frightful by being unreal; it is frightful because it is irreversible and iron-clad. Time is the substance I am made of. Time is a river which sweeps me along, but I am the river; it is a tiger which destroys me, but I am the tiger; it is a fire which consumes me, but I am the fire. The world, unfortunately, is real; I, unfortunately, am Borges.”
― Jorge Luis Borges

A call to world citizens, nature rights before profits!

Resources such as Land and Beaches have been inherently political issues across the globe. Privatization of resources has led the world to speculate and create new trends as a response to global crisis’s. Political agendas worldwide is now more focused on massive beach and land grabbing operations. In order to secure themselves, countries and transnational companies are acquiring land and beaches in developing counties at an accelerated rate.

As from the 20th century, Mauritius has been facing constant challenges against the privatization of hectares of beaches allocated to foreign investors. These deals have not always had a win-win outcome but rather sparked neo-colonialism flares putting the livelihood of local population in jeopardy.
In 2016, the statistical segmentation of the Mauritian coast line is as follows;
43% of sea frontage by private bungalows and villas,
20% of coast line are occupied by hotels and golf areas,
and ONLY 10% are said to be public beaches.

‘Aret Kokin Nu Laplaz’; AKNL (Stop Beach Grabbing in English), a group of Mauritian activists, are voicing against beach privatization and its effects. On the 24th of August 2016, 6.9 hectares and nine hundred and forty square meters of beach (69940 m2) was withdrawn from the list of ‘ Public Beach ‘. This portion of beach described as PG Bel Air Public Beach (Pomponette/ Point aux Roches), situated in the South of Mauritius, is one of the very last coastal line which has preserved its wild and natural fauna and flora. Appreciated for its untouched beauty, locals and afar, PG Bel Air (Pomponette) has been a place of gathering for years by many.

The anecdote below among others, overthrows the saying of the Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Housing and Lands of the Republic of Mauritius, Showkutally Soodhun as to what this beach is not frequently visited by people and too dangerous for swimming thus appropriate for hotel construction, namely a transnational South African company, the Pelangi Resorts.

Recently after activists of AKNL have gathered support from local citizens, the CEO of Pelangi Resorts gave an interview in L’Express, a local newspaper, stressing that the choice of the privatization of PG Bel Air Beach (Pomponette), is justified as hotels keep beaches in better conditions and clean as opposed to Mauritian citizens.

Planted by a Mauritian some 20 years back, this Tournefortia argentea known as ‘ le veloutier ‘‘has a story behind that everyone should be aware of. This is the legacy left behind by a man for the Mauritian nation!
‘Baz ti pie ‘ as this man lovingly describes ‘ le veloutier’, is the living witness of years of family gatherings and unfading memories! This is not ‘The Pelangi tree on St Felix’ as described and marketed by the promoters unaware of the Mauritian footprint! This veloutier is a symbol of an ecological resistance against time, natural calamities and prejudice; becoming a symbol of emotional attachment!
‘ Le veloutier’ itself answers to Miranda Hartzenberg Ceo of Pelangi the CEO of Pelangi to how Mauritians care, value and show respect for their natural assets, our PG Bel Air, Pomponette beach

Existing beach and land rights are being continually violated by the authorities. Deals between transnational companies are secretly negotiated without the least consideration for the natural birth rights of Mauritians to enjoy their national heritage. High saturation of beach hotels has eroded and endangered the fragile marine eco-system.

‘Aret Kokin Nu Laplaz’ (AKNL), is inviting citizens of the world to participate in advocating land and nature birth rights as this is not only a Mauritian issue but a global phenomenon.
On the 23rd of October 2016, we are organizing a massive citizens’ picnic for a massive campaign ( Piknik Sitwayein ) on PG Bel Air beach ( Pomponette ) as from 12: 00 to 16:00.

As per the requests of foreign activists and Mauritians living abroad, we will also be launching a Facebook and Twitter campaign as from the 23rd of October 2016. The online community is invited to join us.

How to participate and advocate for land rights online ;

Eclipses; Myth or Science: What it really implies?

Many of us have heard about myths surrounding the aspects of eclipses but rare are those who truly acknowledges the real effects of this natural phase on human health. While many believe in lot of traditional rituals on these days, ancient scientific, believes which might have been lost in course of time, are now being supported by modern science today.
Eclipses ( Solar and Lunar ) and Solar Flares do affect perspectives, moods, emotions and behavioral patterns in human. All of us are subjects to some changes while some are more vulnerable.

“The idea that spots on the sun or solar flares might influence human health on earth at first appears to lack scientific credibility.
However, when significant correlations between hospital admissions and health registers and Solar-Geomagnetic Activity (S-GMA) are found, then the challenge is to conceive of and to document a scientifically plausible and observationally supported mechanism and model. There is a large body of research correlating S-GMA with biological effects and human health effects.
There is currently an absence of a known and credible biophysical mechanism to link the S-GMA with these effects,” writes Dr Neil Cherry Associate Professor of Environmental Health at the Lincoln University in his science paper.

While Dr Neil Cherry Talks about solar flares, some scientist believes that eclipses do have some kind of desynchronize in our circadian rhythm, that is our biological clock. In both cases the pineal gland in our brain seems to be much more affected by the electromagnetic activity. Even though the medical world has not yet fully research about physical effects on people, the beliefs that eclipses are capable of producing psychological effect may pave way to discoveries on this subject.

Modern Science:
Transylvanian effect or Transylvanian hypothesis, a modern theory in intellectual literature, presumes that lunar eclipse may affect body and mind as an impact on the circadian rhythm of human body. Studies say that human and creature activities, physiological process and actions undergo alterations caused through seasonal changes circadian rhythms and lunar and solar cycles. They also state that the effects these cycles on humans and animals have been much less explored. Although medical world warns about looking at solar eclipse with naked eye, it does not say anything about lunar eclipse.

“The circadian regulatory system depends on repeated environmental cues to [synchronize] internal clocks,” says psychiatrist Kelly Posner, Columbia University. “Magnetic fields may be one of these environmental cues.”

As changes in magnetic fields happens, families have noted that some of their members have increased incidence of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, chaotic or confused thinking and erratic behaviors. With not enough scientific research, those who are psychologically weak seems to be more affected thus a close assistance and supervision is needed.

Human life has always been influenced by cosmological changed throughout ages and this is no secrets.

Psssst…Want to see the Solar Eclipse 2016?

While many stress about eye damages caused by viewing a total solar eclipse with the naked eye, many eye specialists don’t suggest the use of polarized glasses for such events. If polarized glasses are not the best match, I strongly believe so are special eclipse glasses, handmade eclipse band with flim rolls ( pellicule de photo), ect.

If you still wish to view the spectacular event, fill a plastic bucket of water place and place it in a clear and stable area to have the solar reflection. Move 1 meter away from the water bucket, you can watch the gradual phenomenon. Try not to stare for longer hours and give your eyes a break.

And the best way remains, sitting on the couch and watch a video of the solar eclipse.
Be like me, control your emotions and wait for the videos 😀

Autoimmune Diseases and the battle to live, don’t ignore the facts.

Transverse myelitis (TM), Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Scleroderma, Syrogen, Narcolepsy, Crohn’s Disease, Meniere’s Disease, Huntington’s disease, Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, HIV/AIDS, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Rheumatoid Arthritis, Parkinson disease, Alzheimer disease, Huntington’s disease and other Autoimmune Diseases and Severe Mental Illness still lack funds to research genuinely and deeply about their causes, Holistic Medicine; conventional and alternative treatments and therapies ( acupuncture, chiropractic care, homeopathy, massage therapy, naturopathy, ect) and Alternative medicines (marijuana /cannabis)

Life has so many downs and ups..still those at their worst do their very best to inspire and be a change…that’s the case for Rhana Fleming!
Three years back when I was first diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis along with two other autoimmune disorders; Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and  Hemolytic Anemia, unknown in the Mauritian medical vocabulary, Rhana has been a voice and an absolute strength to me and many more via her videos. On 24th August 2016, Rihanna lost her battle against Transverse Myelitis.

For many of us, like me who lives in countries where local supportive group
appropriate medical support and treatments related to our health conditions are non existent, foreign medical researches and exchange platforms are what keeps us alive.

Learn about autoimmune diseases, Donate for medical research and the least you can do is give some warmth and love to those in need.
I just wish that every wish for a cure of all, for all be heard and answered.

Don’t wait for it to be your turn and more life to be lost, to make change.Time can wait, not health.
Starts right HERE AND NOW.

Rhana’s story;

To really get to know Rhana Fleming, you have to watch her how-to gymnastics videos, where the Charlestown 12-year-old teacheed her YouTube audience how to master handstands and cartwheels.

But her world turned upside down when her parents got the call that day in December.

Roughly four hour hours after that, Rhana was at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, paralyzed from the neck down.

“We got a call from the gym that she was sick,” her father Robert Fleming said. “We didn’t really know how sick. We didn’t really think it was catastrophic sick.”

“I said was there an accident? Did she fall? And they said no, we were just doing warm-ups,” her mother Cheryl Fleming said.

It was a sudden, violent nerve reaction in Rhana’s spine that doctors call  *Transverse Myelitis. Rhana has been in the ICU for 25 days. Cameras are not allowed inside, but her father shows ABC6 cell phone videos of Rhana mouthing ‘I love you.’ The tube makes it tough for her talk, especially because she was still in excruciating pain.

Doctors see roughly 30 cases like Rhana’s in Rhode Island each year; however, 90% of them respond to what is called aggressive intervention. Rhana is part of the 10% that, so far, has not.

“We just don’t understand the process well enough to handle it,” Dr. David Mandelbaum, head of the Neurological Unit at Hasbro, said. “90% of the time we do, but with that 10%, there is just so much unknown.”

They did not know if Rhana was to walk again. They were trying to figure out whether or not any of this may be the result of her immune system over-reacting to an infection that had already passed.

But instead of harping on the unknown, Rhana’s parents have been pro-active, setting up a website to raise money for her care: http://www.rhanasjourney.com/
They were focused on their little girl’s spirit because even in the hospital bed, she has made them laugh out loud at her jokes and quietly cry at her selflessness. They realized that their little gymnastics teacher has a whole lot to teach them about life.

* Transverse myelitis is a neurological disorder caused by inflammation across both sides of one level, or segment, of the spinal cord. The term myelitis refers to inflammation of the spinal cord; transverse simply describes the position of the inflammation, that is, across the width of the spinal cord. Attacks of inflammation can damage or destroy myelin, the fatty insulating substance that covers nerve cell fibers. This damage causes nervous system scars that interrupt communications between the nerves in the spinal cord and the rest of the body.

You have endured what was unbearable with a smile always on…and I’ll carry that same smile until we meet again…Rest in peace fighter ❤Rhana Fleming!

FRANCE has for its name, the contrary of Liberty and Fraternity practice.

Those brainwashed by westernisation, for the sake of your learnt values and culture, put it all in the trash to please, settle down in your favorite western countries expecting them to treat you as their very own. Best wishes and keep dreaming eye wide open, as you never will be part of them !

If burkini, burka (though i am quite confuse about it’s use during warmer seasons), hijab, churidar or any Indian attires ain’t accepted in France and where anyone is easily tagged as terrorist or said to be indulged in any other forms of extreme radicals, why claiming to be a so open minded civilization with principle concerns ; ‘ Freedom of choice and practice ‘?

Why not using the term ‘terrorist’ for your army and those in military uniforms for killing, bombing and terrorising millions of lives around the globe every year?

Oh this would be outrageous for me speaking as such!

And why not go further by just banning Christian, Jews religious clothing?

Oh that will be an insult to your religious practices!

And why not being a genius by removing all safety attires used by chronically and medically ills ; to protect themselves from sunlight rays ( Xeroderma Pigmentosum condition ), cold intolerance ( cold urticaria condition ), Alergies ( Aquagenic urticaria ) ect?

Oh stupid people, you were so dumb that this didn’t cross your mind?

Want to sum it up to religion and cultural practice, so let me being with the french culture itself. What are your religious practices, with no offense, which preache you to engage in unnecessary wars and mass murder in the third world countries? How civilised and cultured you are as a nation, to create unrest, destruction and traumatise a whole as a population?

Oh fools, don’t you get it? The root to the culture of terrorism is not terrorism, but you world class war mongers countries trying in all ways to be greedily colonists and thieves serving yourself in others’ natural reserves!
How religious and cultured are you, that you insulted the real meaning of life?

I’m not a Muslim and cohabits really well with my muslim friends and their community , nor am I an extreme radical as i cause no harm; it’s just a matter perceptions and non-prejudices, nor a terrorist but simply a world citizen whose concerned about our world’s mental health.
High time for the globe to grow wise ! Get love to be your religion, practice and culture ☮ ✌

It does not take religion to practice terrorism,
It does not take cultural attachments to become a terrorist,
It takes oppression, hatred and ill intentions to do what terror does worst!
